Mercedes-Benz is about to redo a good chunk of its nomenclature strategy, moving all of its utility vehicles to “G” designations, creating single-letter add-ons for drivetrain designations, and bringing back the Maybach name as a sub-brand, the first product of which – the Mercedes-Maybach S600 – will be shown at the LA Auto Show.
